Gram Parsons Derry Down introduces the Brimer & Brixa Group, September 12, 2026, doors at 6 - show at 7 pm.  Tickets $20, advance and $25. day of show.

Local guitarists David Brimer and Marcus Brixa have been writing, recording, and performing together for 4 years. They have released two studio albums “Clay Pigeons” (2023) and “Sandcastle Sazerac” (2025), and two live albums “Recorded Live At The Ghost Light Lounge” (2024) and their most recent release “Explorations” (2026). Their latest album features 3 live songs that were recorded in Gram Parsons Derry Down at one of their previous concerts and the group intends to record this concert as well for a possible future release.

As “Brimer & Brixa” the two musicians create a unique style which blends elements of folk, jazz, blues, and classical guitar playing into a dazzling and dynamic concert experience and they are very excited to be making their third concert appearance at the Derry Down on Saturday September 12th. Always eager to try something new David and Marcus have put together an electric band for the second half of the show and will make a concert debut as “Brimer & Brixa Group”. This amazing ensemble will feature David Brimer & Marcus Brixa on guitars, Mark Lester on bass, and Joshua McNair on drums. They will also add guest appearances by Lakeland saxophonist Rick Runion and jazz vocalist Laura Brimer. All of the musicians are local professionals with decades of music invested in their art, but they will be performing in this lineup for the first time. It is going to be an amazing show.
