A 2025 inductee into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, Lauderdale will release his 38\u003cspan\u003eth \u003c\/span\u003eand 39\u003cspan\u003eth \u003c\/span\u003ealbums in 2026: \u003ci\u003eCountry Super Hits Volume 2 \u003c\/i\u003eand a bluegrass collection, \u003ci\u003eThe Birds Know\u003c\/i\u003e. His major label debut, 1991’s \u003ci\u003ePlanet of Love\u003c\/i\u003e, opened the door to international touring and established him as an A-list songwriter on Music Row.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHis songs have been recorded by \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eGeorge Strait, Patty Loveless, George Jones, the Chicks, Old Crow Medicine Show, Lucinda Williams, Charley Crockett, Dave Edmunds, Solomon Burke\u003c\/strong\u003e, and many others. Between 2004 and 2013, Lauderdale wrote and recorded six albums with \u003cstrong\u003eGrateful Dead songwriter Robert Hunter.
